From Oasis Inn Cairns Accommodation it is just two minutes to the Esplanade where you join the Cairns bike path network. Ride south to the Lagoon or North to the Botanic Gardens. The network is hundreds of kilometres, encompassing dedicated bike paths,
cycle lanes on major and minor roads, joint walking and cycling paths, and sealed off-road trails.
You can go just about anywhere in the city and because Cairns is mostly flood plain, it is ideal for easy riding. But if you want a challenge – there are always the mountain ranges close by to test your endurance.
Our bikes are top class Fuji Barnebey Comfort Cruisers. Robust bikes with simple three speed gears, front hand brake, and rear pedal break.
They have big fat tires and a big fat seat for your cycling comfort. You won’t win any races but you can sit upright and enjoy the beautiful sights of our fair city.
We also have a couple of small mountain bikes for the youngsters.
The price to hire our bicycles is $15 for 24 hours, or two bikes for $25. We have helmets, lights, and baskets available at no cost.
Bicycle helmets are compulsory by law in Cairns.
